Nycole Wenner, Department of Physics & Astronomy, Northwestern University

Session: Tour of the Historic Dearborn Observatory

Nycole Wenner (they/them) is a 3rd year PhD student with broad research interests in radio astronomy. They have studied radio sources such as the supermassive black hole in the center of the Milky Way Galaxy and in star forming regions around the galaxy. Nycole is involved in many different outreach activities at Northwestern including Astronomy on Tap and the public lecture series. For the past year, Nycole has worked as a CIERA graduate fellow helping kickstart the CIERA REACHES out to Chicago Schools (CROCS) program which brings Northwestern scientists into classrooms across Chicagoland. In their free time, Nycole enjoys writing, cooking, walking, and spending time with their cats.
