Baxter Symposium Session

This hands-on workshop will use the Flow of Genetic Information Kit from 3D Molecular Designs to model the processes of Transcription and Translation. The model utilizes durable foam pieces of nucleotides to act out the steps by which a cell transforms a gene into a protein. Following exploration of the model, attendees will discuss its use as a teaching tool: strategies for implementation; differentiation for different class levels; and possible extensions.
