2025 Baxter Symposium Session

In this interactive workshop educators will explore strategies to make science more meaningful and inclusive for all students. We’ll dive into culturally relevant pedagogy  and discuss how science can connect to students’ identities, communities, and lived experiences. Participants will learn how to integrate real-world issues, diverse scientists, and inquiry-based learning into their lessons to create a more engaging and equitable science classroom by engaging in a hands-on lesson transformation. Through small-group discussions, real-world case studies, and collaborative brainstorming, participants will leave with tangible ideas they can immediately implement in their classrooms.
