2025 Baxter Symposium Session

Help students visualize different kinds of bonding and intermolecular forces with this activity. Students will use magnetic models to learn about polarity and attraction or lack of attraction. Students have fun figuring out molecular attractions and repulsions, providing a springboard to more complex concepts in chemistry and AP biology. The NaCl Lattice & Water kits from 3D Molecular Design make learning about bonding fun for students and classroom-friendly for teachers. A group from IIT will also be in the session to talk about their storm water project and how your students can get involved.
