Marjorie Baker, Round Lake Area Schools

Session: Forces of Nature: Uncovering the Stories of Trees & Carbon Connections: A Multi-Disciplinary Dive into Photosynthesis & Cellular Respiration

Marjorie has a passion for helping develop scientific/ocean/environmental literacy in students and educators. She loves seeking ways to bring in different learning modalities to create learner-centered environments that are creative and fun. Her professional background includes teaching both in the informal realm (Aquarium & Zoo) as well as in the formal classroom (public school systems in Maryland and Illinois) and she has experience working with both preK-12 students and adult educators. Her undergraduate degree is in Marine Biology with a Master's degree in Secondary Science Education, both from the University of Maryland.
