Session: Learning Outside the Box

Janice is a product of Chicago Public Schools.  She graduated from Lindblom Technical High School.  From there she went on to Chicago State University where she earned a degree in Elementary Education.  She began teaching in Chicago Public Schools in 2000.  She is currently the STEAM Coordinator at Parkside STEAM Academy where she strives to provide extensive and authentic experiences in Science. She is the mother of two grown sons who also attended Lindblom and two pitbull mixes.  In her spare time, she loves enjoying time with her grandson and listening to music.  She is a nature enthusiast who is passionate about conservation and coexistence with urban wildlife.
