Session: Inquisitive Minds, Thermal Finds: Harnessing Student Ideas and Misconceptions in Science

Alex has been a passionate educator since 2010. She has experience in teaching elementary, middle school, and high school students, and adults, as well as working in programs such as dual language, ESL, special education, alternative, and exchange programs. Alex graduated from Northern Illinois University with a degree in elementary education and has done graduate work in literacy education and STEM leadership. She is currently a Science Curriculum & Instruction Specialist at Round Lake Area School District, where she works to implement creative teaching strategies to engage students and foster their natural curiosity.
