Session: Inquisitive Minds, Thermal Finds: Harnessing Student Ideas and Misconceptions in Science

Jessica has been in the education field since 2011 and part of Round Lake Area Schools since 2018.  She has served as a teacher, instructional coach, and is currently the director of teaching and learning.  She holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois in Champaign and a master's degree in educational leadership with a principalship endorsement from Northeastern Illinois University.  In her current role, she works with K-12 teachers to successfully implement the NGSS framework and leverage students’ natural curiosity to meet the needs and interests of a diverse K-12 student population.
