Session: Inquisitive Minds, Thermal Finds: Harnessing Student Ideas and Misconceptions in Science

Marjorie has a passion for helping develop scientific/ocean/environmental literacy in students and educators. She loves seeking ways to bring in different learning modalities to create learner-centered environments that are creative and fun. Her professional background includes teaching both in the informal realm (Aquarium & Zoo) as well as in the formal classroom (public school systems in Maryland and Illinois), working with both preK-12 students and adult educators. Her undergraduate degree is in Marine Biology with a master's degree is in Secondary Science Education.
